Something for every mom Roseville Press Tribune
Oops, Sunday is Mother’s Day and you totally forgot. Poor mom. But, wait, have no fear — we have some last-minute ideas for fun times you and your mom can share this weekend.
If mom likes strawberry shortcake
Beg mom to compete in the strawberry shortcake-eating contest at the Strawberry Festival. No hands allowed! Once mom has made a mess of herself, treat her to the rest of the festivities. Local farmers will hawk their certified-organic fruit and mom can sample strawberry pizza, strawberry kettle corn, strawberry cookies, strawberry tamales and much more.
Mom can also check out the classic car show and Miss Strawberry Pageant, while the kids are busy at the petting zoo and pony rides. That might also be the right time for mom to sip a strawberry margarita.
The Strawberry Festival goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at 800 All America City Blvd. in Roseville. Kids 11 and under are free, general admission is $8 and seniors 60 and over are $5. For more information, visit www.feedmestrawberries.com.
